[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]I made it to Bryce Canyon for sunrise and pretty much had the place to myself as I toured the park. I stopped at Sunrise Point and hiked to see the Hoodoos in the Queens Garden…the formations known as hoodoos were named by the native Paiute Indians who believe they are the ‘Legend People’ who were turned to stone for their bad deeds…well, that’s the cliff notes of the story. The full story is apparently not widely shared out of respect for the Paiute people, who share the story within the tribe and only during the winter months.
I’ve been here before but it’s more amazing than I remember. I think I said that about Zion too. And I really love being here in winter; it’s nice to have less tourists around but more importantly I think the snow really adds to the visual experience and mystique of this place.
After spending the morning exploring, I’m on my way north headed for Salt Lake City. Tomorrow I’ll finally arrive at the ranch – and it sure has been fun getting there![/vc_column_text][vc_media_grid grid_id=”vc_gid:1451966591335-3e0b6a04-d3c7-10″ include=”7687,7686,7689,7692,7690,7693″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row]
