The trip from Salt Lake to Saratoga was pretty easy; seemed to be all downhill. I kept wondering what it will be like to be on that road going the other way…it will be a longer trip for sure. I stopped in the little town of Evanston, Wyoming for gas – a sleepy little town about an hour east of Salt Lake.

The mountain passes were beautiful and not too extreme in terms of driving; the morning was really cold but by the time I arrived in Saratoga the temp was well above freezing. I was beyond excited once I got to the exit for the ranch and a few country roads later I arrived.

The ranch, the studios, the living quarters, the staff and the other artists are all way, way beyond my expectations. Unpacking my studio was an incredibly exciting experience. This is already such an incredible experience and I can tell it’s about to get even better. A dream come true for sure.
